Police said a mother and her infant were sent to an area hospital on Tuesday after a crash on Evergreen Road.

Investigators said Catherine Mary Ankney, 28, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital. Ankney's infant was also taken to AGH as a precaution.

Police said they believe the accident was alcohol-related. Investigators said Ankey will likely face charges in the accident, though police did not say what those charges would be.

The crash also damaged the street and a Duquesne Light utility pole.

No other injuries were reported.
